2001 chrysler sebring review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Dramatic drop-top styling and a spacious cockpit too. introductionfor 2001, chrysler rolls out a fresh design for the sleek sebring convertible. The new sebring convertible brings increased horsepower, while expanding the best attributes of the previous edition. For the past five years, the sebring has scored as america's best-selling convertible, lauded for its sleek design, roomy back seat and attractive pricing.  this new sebring convertible was designed to maintain that leadership position, with generous room for backseat riders and best-in-class interior space. Its water-tight drop-top disappears behind the rear seat with the touch of a button.  handsome new exterior styling looks dramatic with smooth lines similar to the new sebring coupe and sedan. (chrysler's sebring convertible, sedan and coupe have all been completely redesigned this year; they share the same sporty body style, but differ in engineering details.) behind the slick shell is a stiff new structure, new suspension components that produce sporty ride traits, and a new engine charged to 200 horsepower.  best of all, this new sebring, like its popular predecessor, carries an attractive price, starting at just $24,370. lineupthe new chrysler sebring convertible is available in three trim levels: lx, lxi and limited. Optional is a sophisticated anti-lock braking system chrysler calls abs plus 565) designed to better balance braking forces at each wheel; this helps improve stability when braking and turning at the same time by counteracting yawing or swerving. Sedan and convertible use similar chassis and suspension elements, and share the same v6 engine and automatic transmissions. Convertible and sedan roll out of the same chrysler assembly plant in sterling heights, michigan.  the sebring convertible is not simply a sebring sedan with the roof chopped and a soft-top added. Instead, it was designed from the outset to function as a two-door convertible. As a result, its reinforced structure is so strong that the topless sebring feels as stiff as a hardtop car and behaves with sporty characteristics.  it's also drop-dead gorgeous.  smooth sheet metal stretches long and broad over a taut form with fluid lines patterned after the slick coupe. The overall shape is dominated by a prominent hood and cantilevered windshield that rakes rearward at an extreme angle.  a broad nose focuses on the chrysler signature of an exaggerated oval air intake port inset with a dark egg-crate grille ringed in chrome. Narrow headlamps wrap around front corners above round fog lights flanking the grille.  side panels with rolled shoulders flare in rings around wheelwells to draw attention to large wheels that include multi-spoke designs in cast aluminum for the lxi, and chrome alloy for the limited. At the rear a spoiler lip arches over large corner lamps and the thick mass of a monotone bumper. interiorsebring's passenger compartment is an expansive space filled with form-fitting seats and stylish design elements like chrome highlights or leather and glossy simulated walnut wood.  generous room for riders stems from architecture that extends the windshield forward, abbreviates space for the engine, and increases the length and width of the cabin. High-back bucket seats are standard in cloth fabric for sebring lx; the lxi gets leather trim, while the limited comes with softer premium leather trim. Seats feel firm and comfortable; the driver's seat has six-way power adjustments.  a dashboard collection of round analog instruments, tucked beneath an arched cowl and ringed with chrome bezels, employs easy-to-read white-on-black graphics for lx and lxi; bold black-on-white graphics and electroluminescent lighting add zest to the instruments in the limited.  although the dashboard is essentially linear, there's a wrap-around feel to the cockpit. A center console houses the transmission shift lever and a padded armrest. Above the console, a central stack of controls for the audio and climate systems shows large rotary dials in a simple scheme.  at the top of the dash, an available display provides compass headings, outside temperature readings, trip mileage, fuel economy and estimated distance to an empty tank -- useful information on trips or when out and about.  unlike some convertibles, the sebring provides enough room in the backseat for two adults to sit comfortably; and it's fitted with three-point seatbelts. Twin cupholders extend from the rear of the floor console. Front seatbacks tip and slide forward quickly for easy backseat entry, and the front seatbelts do not impede entry because anchors are integrated in top corners of the seatbacks.  trunk space is also good for a convertible; the trunk will accommodate two golf bags stacked together.  the convertible top is a snap to operate. Simply unlock two latches located above windshield visors, then touch a single button on the dashboard and the lid folds quickly into a well behind the rear seat. Continue to depress the button and side windows will also drop out of sight. It wasn't until we headed out of town, climbing high into the santa rosa mountains on the switchbacks of snaky route 74, that the sebring revealed its dual personality as both boulevard cruiser and sporty performer.  step on the pedal to leap around traffic and it pounces like a cat catching prey. The v6 engine, displacing 2. 7 liters out of an aluminum block fitted with dual overhead cams and multi-valve technology, produces 200 horsepower spread over a broad torque band. It can charge off the line at a stoplight, but still have enough guts at speed to surge ahead of other cars in a quick lane change. It excels in a set of curves by maintaining an impressively flat stance, even when pressed through a hard-cut corner. The super-stiff body, fortified by lateral braces to compensate for the convertible's lack of a unifying roof structure, plays a key role in achieving sebring's taut ride traits.  all three trim choices use the same suspension components, but wheels and tires differ. The lx has 15-inch wheels, but the wheels for lxi and limited bump up an inch larger and carry michelin all-season tires. The larger tires feel more aggressive when turning, and ultimately improve sebring's agility. summarychrysler's sebring convertible dazzles the eye with its sophisticated styling. Even the top edition, sebring limited, draws the bottom line well below $30,000. model lineuplx 24,370); lxi 26,830);. 1999 chrysler town and country review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. A roomy minivan with luxury-car comforts. introductionmost minivan makers worry how they can distinguish themselves from the pack. But the chrysler town & country solved that problem by inventing a category all its own: the luxury minivan.  it's no stretch to say that the town & country leads the pack when it comes to styling, comfort, spaciousness and quality. Each comes in short- and long-wheelbase versions, and in several different trim levels. Front-wheel drive is standard on the town & country, but it can be ordered with all-wheel drive, a definite plus in the snow belt.  by offering a long list of luxury-line features, the chrysler town & country is the only true luxury minivan. All-wheel drive is optional on the lx, lxi and limited; it's a $3175 premium on the lx.  the sx rides on a shorter wheelbase, (113. 3 inches) than the lx, lxi and limited (119. 3 inches). It's also shorter from bumper to bumper-186. 4 inches, compared to 199. 7 for the big boys. The long-wheelbase models are about 125 pounds heavier than the sx, and the optional all-wheel-drive system adds an extra 300 pounds to the load.  we tested a front-wheel-drive lxi. It presents a sporty visage that is both elegant and slightly imposing. A steeply raked windshield blends into the sloping hood, finished with a sweeping grille and winged chrysler badge. An accident response system unlocks the doors and turns on the interior lights whenever an airbag deploys. A reclining child seat was added to the middle-row bucket seat this year. interiorsliding doors on both sides make getting in and out of the town & country a breeze. It sure beats walking around to the passenger side to get a toddler out.  lxi comes with heated leather front seats, which are an option on the sx and lx.  for smaller loads, the seat backs can also be folded down -- affording enough room for the proverbial sheet of plywood. The back seats can be removed for big loads. The center-row bucket seats can be quickly unlatched and pulled through the sliding side doors. A solid yank on a lever pops the third-row bench seat up onto a set of wheels, allowing it to be rolled backwards and removed via the tailgate. Getting into the back seats is easy and they provide good comfort for adults. Gm's extended minivan family-the chevrolet venture, oldsmobile silhouette and pontiac montana-hold 156 cubic feet. driving impressionwhen chrysler overhauled its minivans in 1996, it took great care to retune the suspension to ensure a sedan-like ride. At the same time, they increased the torsional rigidity by 50 percent. That translates into greater stability, which is always a plus in a tall vehicle. The smaller 3. 3-liter engine, which puts out 158 horses at 4850 rpm and 203 foot pounds of torque @ 3250 rpm, delivers sufficient power for the smaller and lighter sx, but we recommend the 3. 8-liter engine for the longer, heavier lx, lxi and limited models.  we found the 3. 8-liter engine packed more than enough thrust when accelerating off the line. The extra power was appreciated in freeway-merging situations. Once on the freeway, the 3. 8-liter plant definitely filled the bill when we wanted punch to pass a semi-trailer.  brakes are a special concern in larger vehicles that may be carrying a heavy load-or a half-dozen kids. 2010 chrysler town & country review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Family-friendly minivan. introductionminivans offer roominess, convenience, versatility and fuel efficiency. There is no more sensible choice for a family with more than a couple of children. Chrysler was the first into this market and, long after other manufacturers have left it, chrysler remains, with the chrysler town & country and the dodge caravan. Of the two, the town & country is generally more upscale, and chrysler bills the town & country as the ultimate family friendly vehicle.  the 2010 chrysler town & country is offered with three v6 engines. The base engine, a 3. 3-liter v6 or 175 horsepower, doesn't offer much in the way of either power or fuel efficiency. The 3. 8-liter v6, with 197 horsepower, is adequate for around-town duty, but the best choice is the available 4. 0-liter v6 and its 251 horsepower. But it's a big vehicle, however, and is not nimble. There will be noticeable body lean in the turns and the ride can feel floaty at highway speeds. The honda odyssey and nissan quest are more car-like and sportier to drive.  on the other hand, the town & country's entertainment and seating options are the best in the class, matched only by the dodge grand caravan. The standard stow 'n go seating tucks the second-row seats nicely into the floor, and when those seats are up, the floor bins offer storage space. The rear seats fold into the floor on all models, allowing a perfectly flat, voluminous rear storage area. The swivel 'n go option is great for family trips; the second row turns to face the third row with a table in between, making it an activity center for the kids. There are also many entertainment choices.  for 2010 there are only minimal changes: the driver and front passenger seats have active head restraints, a rear obstacle detection display is in the vehicle information center, and the 4. 0-liter v6 has a revised final-drive ratio which improves fuel economy.  the town & country is a great vehicle for families that need to haul kids and cargo on a regular basis. Also offered are chrysler's uconnect multimedia suite 1,300) with a rearview camera, chrysler's uconnect phone hands-free cell phone link and chrysler's uconnect gps, which adds a navigation system with real-time traffic and voice activation to the uconnect tunes 30-gigabyte hard-drive radio. Three rear dvd entertainment systems are offered. The lx model is available with entertainment group 1 2,120), which has a single rear dvd screen, and also comes with sirius satellite radio, a rearview camera, and a 115-volt power outlet. Entertainment group 3 2,020) for the limited model has two rear video screens with two dvd players, plus sirius backseat tv. A trailer tow group 600) includes heavy-duty engine cooling, trailer wiring harness, and load-leveling rear air suspension. Stand-alone options include two integrated child seats 225) for the second row, a sunroof 995), a power-folding third-row seat 595), and sirius backseat tv 495). Several of the higher line standard features are also available for the lower line models as options.  the limited is available with a safety group that includes rear cross path and blind spot alert systems, along with uconnect phone, an ipod control, and auto-dimming mirror 825). The nissan quest, kia sedona, honda odyssey, and toyota sienna are all within a few inches, plus or minus, in overall length. The roof is wide at the top, also contributing to the boxy look.  the snout features a large grille with ties to other chrysler products. The body sides have a clean, simple design. The rear liftgate is available with power operation, which is handy, but the rear glass doesn't open separately, which isn't. Chrome accents on the front and rear fascias, door handles, belt molding, and mirrors lend an upscale appearance. interiorthe town & country's competitive advantage can be found on the inside. While ambiance and materials quality are not tops in the class, thoughtful features are.  hard plastic dominates the dash and doors. The only padded surfaces are found on the captain's chairs' fold-down armrests, and they are an unimpressive looking rubberized material. The gauges are easy to spot and the various controls are clearly marked.  the radio and/or uconnect tunes/gps system is set high on the center of the dash for easy access. With either system, the controls are easy to use, but those on the right side are a bit of a reach for the driver. The cd/dvd changer is also set low, making it a possible distraction to use while driving. The gearshift is mounted between the radio and the instrument panel. Both systems have a 30-gigabyte hard drive to hold music, pictures, and, with the navigation system, navigation map information. Both systems are capable of holding thousands of songs.  front-seat room and comfort are typical for a minivan. The front captain's chairs afford an upright driving position with an suv-like view of the road. There is plenty of head room, and leg room will only be lacking for the tallest drivers. A tilt steering wheel and available adjustable pedals should help most drivers tailor a comfortable seating position, but we'd still like the steering wheel to telescope.  the clever features start with the storage solutions. Chrysler provides two glove boxes and some cubbies in the center stack for small items storage. A total of 13 cupholders are found throughout the van, so the whole team has a place to put the root beers after the little league game. The premium center console is more impressive. This top level slides back to reveal a larger storage bin below it. The lower bin also slides back. With both layers pushed back, the top level moves back a total of 21 inches, which allows parents up front to prepare lunch for the kids and pass it back in a safe manner. The premium console is also removable.  the rear seating solutions are better yet. All town & country models have a deep well behind the third row, which is a great place to put groceries so they won't slide around. With the rear seats in place, there is an impressive 32. 3 cubic feet of cargo room. All models have a 60/40 split folding third-row bench seat t. 2001 chrysler pt cruiser review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Looks are only the beginning. introductionthere's nothing on the road quite like chrysler's new pt cruiser, and that's a big part of its fun. People from all walks and stations want a better look, intrigued by the cruiser's difficult-to-define character.  yet the really great thing about the pt cruiser is its combination of practicality and a reasonable price. Chrysler turned the automotive industry on its ear when it launched the dodge viper and plymouth prowler. Those cars showcased chrysler's design trends. Viper and prowler are great cars for serious enthusiasts who don't mind making a few sacrifices in terms of comfort and convenience. But, in a way, the pt cruiser is even more exciting because it's a real car suitable for everyday use by everyday people. When it comes to automotive styling, however, pictures speak louder than words. Yet with 63 inches from pavement to the highest point of its roof, the cruiser is also 7 inches taller than a neon, and nearly as tall as some minivans. That height is a crucial element of the pt cruiser's design.  the pt cruiser has a thorough complement of safety features. Front passenger side-impact airbags are standard on the limited edition and optional on the base car. Seatbelts should always be worn, however, and the pt cruiser comes with three-point safety harnesses at all positions-including the rear seat's center position. The front belts have pyrotechnically charged tensioners, just like luxury cars, to keep the belts tight during an impact. The rear bench is equipped with child-seat tethers. interiorinside, the cruiser's t-shaped symmetrical dashboard uses painted inserts to pull exterior styling themes into the cabin. The instrument panel is clean, functional and aesthetically pleasing. The driver faces three white-faced gauges set in individual cylinders, with speedometer center, tachometer right and fuel and water temperature left. Switches are concentrated in the center panel, with radial-type climate control dials and a single pair of buttons for the front windows. The door levers have a nice action and the switches operate with good tactile feel -- not world class, but a noticeable improvement over chrysler's sloppy mid-'90s standard.  the same improvement applies to the interior finish. The leather package, in particular, has a rich appearance, given the cruiser's price, with suede inserts in the doors and along the lower cushion edges.  the front seats have a reasonable amount of bolster to keep driver and passenger from sliding side to side. Perhaps more important, the seating position is upright, with a fairly high, commanding view ahead, much like a sport-utility vehicle or minivan. And with 120. 2 cubic feet of interior volume, there's no premium on space in the pt cruiser. The government's standard for defining a large car, like the mercedes-benz s-class or lincoln town car, is 120 cubic feet.  all that space is largely a function of the cruiser's height. Its roof rises toward the rear, and its rear seat bottoms are higher than those in front are. The front seats are mounted on tall boxes, leaving plenty of room for rear passengers to stretch their legs underneath. An auto critic who stands six feet-nine-inches tall fit comfortably front or rear, in his preferred upright seating position.  chrysler claims the pt cruiser's cabin can be configured 26 different ways. We didn't count, but there are clearly a lot of options. This flexibility stems from three features: a 65/35 split rear bench that can be folded flat, tumbled forward or removed, a movable parcel shelf, and an available front passenger seat that folds flat. The rear seats are anchored with quick-release attachments, and fitted with suitcase-style handles for lifting and steel wheels for rolling. The smaller section weighs 35 pounds, and the larger, 65. The load floor measures 40 inches between the wheel wells. The rear cabin has lots of tie-downs, including a pair on the center pillars that can be used with various seat configurations.  the parcel shelf and front passenger seat increase hauling options. The shelf can be positioned at the top of the rear seatbacks for a standard privacy cover over the cargo hold. It can be lowered to a level that creates a flat floor when the rear seat backs are folded forward. In can be installed vertically across the width of the cabin to divide the cargo hold, or hung out of the tailgate as a small table. It can also be turned over so its hard-plastic underside acts like a large tray, containing drops from dripping paint cans or mud from work boots.  with the front passenger seatback folded flat onto the bottom cushion, there's a table next to the driver and in front of the rear passengers. Even better, there can be more than 8 feet of flat surface between the dashboard and the tailgate. It weighs 3123 pounds with the manual transmission, meaning each of its 150 horsepower pulls roughly 21 pounds of iron. The 2. 4 happens to be the base engine in chrysler's minivans; for the cruiser, improvements were geared toward reducing noise and vibration rather than increasing power. Peak horsepower remains at 150, with 162 foot-pounds of torque. The shifter is surprisingly precise; it's not sports-car grade, but not bad for a longer-throw gate with a lever that's a foot long. Working the gears to get the most from the engine is a pleasant proposition in nearly all circumstances.  the automatic isn't as effective as the five-speed at getting the cruiser cruising, because the 2. 4's power is biased toward higher rpm. With properly timed dips of the accelerator, there's enough torque for safe, clean overtaking on two-lane roads.  the cruiser handles more like a sedan than a minivan. It will hustle with good composure and reasonable verve. Body lean is well controlled. By design, the cruiser understeers moderately, a push that warns a driver to slow down through curves. The cruiser's strut-type independent front suspension is similar to the neon's. Its rear suspension design maximizes cargo space, but the solid rear axle bounces a bit on rough pavement. Overall, however, chrysler's suspension engineers have delivered a good balance of handling and a comfortable ride.  they've also done a fine job of masking the cruiser's height. Only in quick, hard, slalom-type maneuvers does the pt cruiser start get top heavy. Yet most drivers will never drive hard enough to notice. And in sudden, emergency-type lane changes, the pt cruiser is more composed than the typical sport-utility or minivan. At speeds beyond legal interstate limits, the cruiser is stable, and not particularly susceptible to cross winds.  a lack of noise may be the most impressive, or surprising, of all the pt cruiser's qualities. There is little wind noise, almost no tire or road noise, and just an audible whine from the drivetrain. It has better noise, vibration and harshness control than chrysler products of the mid- to late 1990s have conditioned us to expect.  front disc and rear drum brakes are standard. The cruiser is, however, a car. AM/FM✔ Power Windows✔ Tachometer✔ Climate Control✔ CD Changer✔ Aluminum Wheels✔ Sunroof/Moonroof✔ Air Conditioning✔ Alloy Wheels

2008 chrysler aspen review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Large and luxurious, power for towing. introductionthe 2008 chrysler aspen is a big, traditional sport utility vehicle capable of towing substantial loads. The aspen is in the same class as the chevy tahoe, gmc yukon, and ford expedition, but it has more luxury amenities than most of those vehicles.  introduced for the 2007 model year, the chrysler aspen is based on the dodge durango. Aspen shares durango's size and mechanicals, the main differences being styling, interior and tuning. Both use truck chassis and engineering, giving them the advantages of a cavernous interior and the ability to tow trailers (up to 8,900 pounds).  aspen's electronic stability control system incorporates a new feature designed to control trailer sway.  two v8 engines are available, a 4. 7-liter flex-fuel v8 that gains 68 hp for 2008 for a total of 303 horsepower, and a 335-hp 5. 7-liter v8. The 4. 7-liter can run on regular gasoline or e85 (a blend of 15 percent gasoline and 85 percent ethanol). The 5. 7-liter hemi uses chrysler's multi-displacement system, which conserves fuel by shutting off half the cylinders when the engine is running under a light load. The wheel wells are filled with good-looking 18-inch alloy wheels or optional 20-inch chrome rims.  aspen accommodates seven or eight passengers, depending on the seating configuration. Three rows of seats are standard, starting with front buckets, a second-row bench and a third-row bench. Buckets are optional for the second row to reduce seating to seven.  the interior blends elegant-looking, satin-finish metallic accents with woodgrain trim on the dash and center console. The standard upholstery is chrysler's trademarked yes essentials fabric that resists stains and odors. Leather trim is optional and all of the usual power and personalization features are available.  in addition to the upgraded 4. 7-liter v8, aspen gets new safety and entertainment features for 2008. Chrysler's mygig radio, which includes a 20-gigabyte hard drive that holds songs, pictures, and navigation system map information, is available, as is a rear backup camera. lineupthe 2008 chrysler aspen is available as only the limited model. The limited 2wd 32,005) and limited awd 34,880) come standard with a 4. 7-liter v8. Chrysler's 5. 7-liter hemi v8 is optional with 2wd 795) or awd 990). The popular equipment group for 2wd 1125) and awd 600) has rear obstacle detection, power-adjustable pedals, remote engine start, and running boards; the 2wd also gets the power liftgate. The popular equipment group ii 1405) has a rear dvd entertainment system, remote engine start, and chrysler's uconnect wireless cell phone link. A trailer tow group 575) adds special axle ratio (with 5. 7-liter v8), heavy-duty engine and transmission cooling, skid plates (awd), class iv trailer hitch, and a wiring harness.  chrysler's mygig entertainment system 1055) is new for 2008. It includes a 6. 5-inch touch-screen and a 20-gigabyte hard drive to hold songs and pictures. It includes sirius satellite radio, rear obstacle detection, rearview camera and uconnect. The hard-drive radio is also offered in the mygig multi-media infotainment system 950), which adds a navigation system with real time traffic and voice activation. It is only available with the quick order package, and uconnect is also included.  also available are leather upholstery 780), heated front seats 250), heated second-row bucket seats 950), a sunroof 850), rear dvd entertainment 1295), remote engine start 185), and accent-color running boards 445).  safety features include front multi-stage airbags and head-protecting curtain side airbags that cover all three seating rows and are programmed to activate in the event of a rollover. Missing, however, are front side airbags that protect the torso in side crashes, a feature increasingly common on cars and suvs. The second-row seats have child safety seat anchors and tethers (latch), but the third row doesn't. Traction control, which limits tire spinning in slick conditions, is standard. The electronic stability program, which attempts to keep the vehicle from spinning out, is augmented with a rollover-sensitive algorithm, which extends deployment duration, and trailer sway control, which applies individual brakes to keep the vehicle on its intended path when towing. Electronic brake-force distribution, which optimizes front-to-rear brake application in emergencies, comes standard along with brake assist, which ensures full braking performance in a panic stop. A tire-pressure monitor signals when tires are low on air. Rear obstacle detection is standard on all-wheel drive models. A. walkaroundthe chrysler aspen looks like a lot of other full-size suvs, but we found it attracted admiring looks and inquiries. Chrysler styling cues set the aspen apart from the dodge durango.  the grille, with bold crossbars and classic chrysler medallion, attempts to stake a claim for the aspen at the top of the brand's pyramid. Strangely, low-key headlamp units diminish the claim, which isn't helped by the bland bumper and generic fog lamps.  embossed strakes in the hood run back to the windshield and carry on the newest chrysler-brand styling motif. The swept-back windshield looks sleek and shows homage to aerodynamics. The optional running boards do a better job of dirtying trousers and long skirts than serving as truly functional steps. Mildly creased, visually pleasant blisters circle the wheelwell openings. A chrome-topped, overstated molding strip pulls double duty, breaking up the expanse of metal between the front and rear wheel cutouts while insulating the doors against parking lot dings. Side mirrors proudly perch on brackets extending from the base of the a-pillars (the side frames of the windshield). A slight ridge defining the beltline (where the side windows meet the lower body panels) extends beyond the base of the rear pillars, accenting the graceful outline of the rear quarter windows. A short front overhang and tucked-up lower hindquarters invite thoughts of venturing off the highway to explore an unpaved track.  it's the rear aspect of the aspen that has the most presence, the view most will have of it in traffic. A strong rear bumper with a deep, non-skid clad step cups the one-piece liftgate. Chrome-like trim on the bumper's end caps tie into the side molding strip. The medallion-and-wing treatment from the grille repeats above the stylized license plate recess. Gently bowed sides and a rounded top give the back end a smaller, less massive look than the rest of the vehicle. A conservatively sized notch centered in the bumper's lower edge makes room for the optional hitch receiver and junction box. interioron first impression, the interior looks classy in its materials selection, presentation and packaging. On closer examination, however, and after some quality time spent experiencing its quirks and nuances, some of that initial luster fades.  the satin-finish metal accents and wood-like trim give the interior an elegant touch, as does the silver-ringed, old-fashioned style clock tucked into a recess in the top-center of the dash. The woodgrain looks better than it feels, however, as do the expanses of textured plastic panels, which are hard to the touch and replete with seams that pose threats of squeaks and buzzes as the miles rack up. Where there's padding, it's noticeably thin. The symmetry of shapes and simplicity of features and controls for the stereo, air conditioning and navigation systems are pluses that partially counter some of the questionable elements.  the front seats are supportive, with adequate bottom and side bol.
